I know a guy named William
He’s one in a million
He’s always doing good deeds
And helping people

And William always claims
That I should do the same
He says that if I could
The world would be a better place

William it’s no mystery
I know how much the world needs me
But it is such a big, big place
You can clearly see

I can’t be everywhere at once
It’s too hard
In this wide, wide world
Tell me, William, where do I start?

I know it seems impossible
William says to me,
“It’s really not that difficult you see”

Why is it so hard to see?
You’re just over-thinking things
It’s not so complicated
You don’t have to turn the whole world
It’ll keep on spinning take you places near and far
You’re needed most the place you’re at, so you just start

Wherever in this world you might be
It’s why we’re in this world you see

William, please understand
I really want to lend a hand
But there’s too many people
I don’t know how I can

I can’t help everyone
So please tell
In a world full of people
William who do I help?

You can’t help everyone, but you can be there for

I really want to help it’s true
But there’s no time to
I am such a busy guy
I’ve got  lists of things to do

I can’t solve every problem
No matter how I try
In such a busy world
William, when will I have the time

I want to help the world out, but
It’s overwhelming
I just can’t get my arms around it

You know I would
If only I could be like you
But I don’t have the confidence to do the things you do

I’m not the strongest
I’m not the bravest
I’m not the smartest
I don’t even know what I do best

In a world so big
In a world so vast
What can one little person do
To make a difference
